01
About STARCLASH
What is STARCLASH?
STARCLASH is a 33-minute first-person immersive animated experience for Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest.
Instead of watching someone else’s story, you enter an animated world as the main character. Expressive 3D characters speak directly to you, invite you into their world, and lead you toward a performance and your own red-carpet moment.
Who is STARCLASH for?
STARCLASH is designed for people who enjoy animation, music, character-driven stories, live performance, and immersive entertainment.
No previous gaming or VR experience is required. It was created to be approachable for both experienced headset users and people trying immersive entertainment for the first time.
Is STARCLASH a game or a movie?
STARCLASH sits between an animated film and an immersive experience.
It does not use levels, scores, combat, or controller-based challenges. Instead, it focuses on story, character connection, music, emotion, and the feeling that events are happening directly to you.
What does “You Are the Star” mean?
“You Are the Star” means that the story is built around the viewer rather than a separate hero on screen.
Characters look toward you, speak directly to you, and treat you as an important part of their world. You do not simply watch someone else become the star—you experience that role yourself.
What happens in STARCLASH?
Without revealing the full story, STARCLASH takes you from entering an unfamiliar animated world to being welcomed by its characters, stepping into the spotlight, and experiencing a red-carpet celebration.
The experience is designed as a continuous emotional journey rather than a collection of separate scenes.
Does STARCLASH have a complete story?
Yes. STARCLASH has a beginning, an emotional progression, and a conclusion.
The story is designed to move through curiosity, connection, tension, excitement, confidence, and celebration, giving the experience an emotional arc similar to an animated film.
How long is STARCLASH?
STARCLASH lasts approximately 33 minutes.
The runtime was chosen to provide enough time for a meaningful story and emotional journey while remaining approachable for people who may be new to immersive headsets.
02
How the Experience Works
Is STARCLASH interactive?
STARCLASH is personally staged around the viewer, but it is not interactive in the same way as a traditional VR game.
Your point of view and presence are central to the experience, while controller tasks, menus, and interruptions have been intentionally minimized so the story can continue without breaking its emotional flow.
Can I have a conversation with the characters?
Characters speak directly to the viewer, but STARCLASH is a scripted cinematic experience rather than an open-ended conversational AI application.
The sense of connection is created through eye contact, facial expression, body language, timing, proximity, voice performance, and first-person direction.
Do I need controllers?
No handheld controllers or gamepads are required to experience STARCLASH.
You can put on the headset, sit down, and follow the story without learning complicated controls.
Is STARCLASH played seated or standing?
STARCLASH is designed primarily as a seated experience.
This allows viewers to focus on the characters, environments, music, and story without needing a large play space or moving around the room.
Do I need any gaming experience?
No gaming experience is required.
STARCLASH was intentionally designed without scores, complicated controls, puzzles, or traditional game mechanics, making it accessible to people who do not normally play video games.
Is STARCLASH suitable for first-time VR users?
STARCLASH was designed to be approachable for first-time immersive headset users.
Its seated format, guided narrative, and controller-free design reduce the amount of information viewers need to learn before beginning the experience.
Can STARCLASH cause motion discomfort?
STARCLASH includes some fast and intense first-person movement. During these moments, the experience automatically narrows your field of view to help reduce motion discomfort.
Comfort varies from person to person, so if you begin to feel unwell, pause the experience, remove your headset, and take a break before continuing.
What language is STARCLASH available in?
STARCLASH currently features English-language voice performances.
Because dialogue and character performance are important parts of the story, understanding spoken English will help viewers follow the full emotional journey.
What age is STARCLASH designed for?
STARCLASH is intended for audiences aged 10 and older.
Users should also follow the age, account, supervision, health, and safety requirements provided by their headset manufacturer.

Why We Created STARCLASH
Why did TACK create STARCLASH?
TACK created STARCLASH to explore a more emotional and story-driven side of immersive entertainment.
Many VR experiences are centered around games, while immersive video often focuses on sightseeing or observing beautiful environments. We wanted to create a first-person animated story in which the viewer feels personally recognized by the world and its characters.
Why does the story focus on becoming a star?
STARCLASH is inspired by a childhood dream shared by many people: the dream of becoming a star.
Walking a red carpet, hearing a crowd cheer for you, and performing on a huge stage are experiences that very few people encounter in real life. We wanted immersive technology to make that feeling accessible to a much wider audience.
Why did you choose animation instead of live action?
Animation allows STARCLASH to combine expressive characters, heightened emotion, music, fantasy, and environments that would be difficult or impossible to create in the real world.
It also allows every character’s facial expression, eye line, movement, and position to be designed specifically around the viewer’s first-person perspective.
Why is STARCLASH told from a first-person perspective?
STARCLASH uses a first-person perspective so viewers can feel that the story is happening to them rather than to someone else.
Every scene is composed around where the viewer is sitting, where the characters are looking, how close they are, and how their voices move through the surrounding space.
Why did you remove complicated interactions?
Controllers, menus, puzzles, and repeated instructions can interrupt the emotional rhythm of a story.
By removing those elements, STARCLASH allows the viewer to remain focused on the characters and narrative. The goal is to make entering the animated world feel immediate and natural.
What emotions is STARCLASH designed to create?
STARCLASH is designed to create a progression of emotional experiences, including curiosity, warmth, connection, anticipation, excitement, confidence, and celebration.
The technology, performances, music, and visuals were all developed to support that emotional journey rather than exist only as technical spectacle.
04
How STARCLASH Was Made
How was STARCLASH created?
STARCLASH was created using a combination of high-resolution 3D animation, a proprietary virtual camera workflow, AI-assisted 3D depth expansion, and 360-degree spatial audio.
These technologies were developed and combined to make characters feel physically present, preserve subtle emotional expression, and place the viewer inside the animated environment.
What is the high-resolution virtual camera system?
TACK developed a proprietary virtual camera and rendering workflow for immersive first-person animation.
Instead of relying on a conventional single-camera image, scenes can be rendered in multiple high-resolution sections and assembled into a detailed immersive view. This helps preserve facial expression, textures, lighting, and environmental detail inside the headset.
What is AI-assisted 3D depth expansion?
AI-assisted 3D depth expansion is a production technology used to strengthen and extend the feeling of depth throughout an immersive scene.
It helps environments feel less flat and allows characters to appear more naturally positioned in front of the viewer, increasing the sensation that they are sharing the same physical space.
What is 360-degree spatial audio?
360-degree spatial audio places voices, music, movement, and environmental sounds around the viewer.
This makes it possible to hear where a character is located and notice intimate details such as breathing, movement, and changes in vocal distance. These audio details help character emotions feel more subtle, believable, and physically present.
Is the technology the main focus of STARCLASH?
The technology exists to support the story rather than distract from it.
Every production tool was selected or developed to improve presence, emotional connection, character expression, and the feeling that the viewer genuinely belongs inside the world.
Are the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest versions the same?
Both versions share the same central story, characters, and emotional experience, but each is optimized for its respective hardware.
The Apple Vision Pro version emphasizes a premium high-resolution visual and audio presentation. The Meta Quest version is optimized for standalone headset performance and broader accessibility.
